![]() this is a pic from the main reloading document If you have a 37mm or 40mm launcher and have been looking around the web for reloading information, you've probably come to the conclusion that there just isn't much information available. Sure, 37mm.com does have a reloading section with basic instructions for reloading smoke and flare rounds, but it's pretty rudimentary, and only contains the most basic information. So what's a person to do? 37mm and 40mm rounds are among the most expensive rounds you'll fire. Heck, even the used cases are more expensive than most firearm ammo. Enter our man Grog, formerly known as George Confer. Grog was trying to save himself a buck or two by reloading rounds for his launchers, but with no info out there, he basically had to do all the footwork himself. His efforts not only paid off for himself, but they saved all of us 37mm and 40mm users a lot of time, trial and effort. The main document on the CD is titled "Reloading and Information, 37mm and 40mm." It contains more information on reloading, launchers, and the 37mm and 40mm round in general than you've ever seen in one place. It's 138 pages in length, and includes photos of all the rounds discussed, and more. This one document is worth the price of the CD, seriously. If you used this document alone, you'd be able to reload almost all of the rounds that you're likely to be interested in. In this manual, Grog not only details specifically how to reload most of the rounds you're likely to find, but he reviews of all the major launchers--both their appearance and materials, but how they function--as well as reviews of most every 37mm and 40mm rounds out there--how they function, what they cost, etc. The CD breaks each round down, and included detailed pictures of how each round is made. Additionally, Grog provides resources where you can purchase any needed materials. He also includes pictures of many, many types of 37mm and 40mm ammo, some with breakaway shots to help you understand how they work. The CD even contains a complete listing of all the tools you'll need to reload! Grog also includes quite a bit of company literature and excerpts from manuals concerning the breakdown and makeup of various 37mm and 40mm rounds. This is an exhaustive resource for enthusiasts!
![]() thumbnails of some of the many rounds shown on the CD If you look in the "Manuals" folder on the CD, you'll find yet another batch of instructional documentation, this time on reloading the .38 blanks commonly used to reload, and another on how to create those nice looking wooden projectiles that you may have seen on 37mm.com or Grog's site (or in the picture at the top of this article). Additionally, there are manuals on reloading the aluminum cases that are commonly available. Also included are the military manuals for the M203 and M79 grenade launchers, as well as many pieces of literature regarding specific types of rounds that are for sale by police supply agencies and other retailers. Some may think that $40 for a CD is a bit steep, but once you realize just how much info there is on this CD, and how you won't find it anywhere else, not to mention how much time and money Grog put into the creation of this CD, you'll understand that $40 is nothing--even at $100 it would be a steal. Bottom line--if you're interested in 37mm and 40mm launchers, and are considering reloading, then this CD is a must have.
